The workers came to repair my house | but things did not go normally
The Unexpected Twist: A Simple Favor Turned Strange
Yesterday, a group of workers arrived to repair my house — a standard job involving roofing and plumbing. As expected, the day began smoothly. The men unpacked their tools and got to work. Around midday, one of them approached me and politely asked for some water. It was a hot day, so I agreed without hesitation and brought out a few bottles.
However, things took a strange turn. After receiving the water, they began acting oddly — whispering to each other, checking their phones frequently, and even wandering into parts of the house they weren’t supposed to access. I politely reminded them of their assigned areas, but they brushed it off.
Then came the real surprise: one of the workers claimed to have seen something “unusual” in the attic and insisted on checking it out. I declined, but the atmosphere had already shifted. Their professional demeanor vanished, replaced by curiosity and evasiveness.
Eventually, I asked them to leave and contacted another company to finish the job. The entire experience left me uneasy. It was just water — a simple request — yet everything changed afterward.
